Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our client's global IT Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in troubleshooting complex issues escalated by lower-tier support engineers and ensuring the seamless operation of critical infrastructure across multiple data centers worldwide.


This position involves active participation in the resolution of visible network and security incidents, collaboration with internal IT support teams and specialists, and coordination with external vendors to resolve firmware bugs, vulnerabilities, and other technical issues. You will also contribute to the design, management, and implementation of changes to production devices, ensuring the availability and security of key company services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues escalated from lower-tier teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and external vendors to resolve infrastructure challenges.
• Lead and support IPv6 implementation efforts across critical systems and services.
• Identify and implement changes to production devices to ensure continuous service availability.
• Analyze and address firmware bugs, vulnerabilities, and system performance issues.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and follow ITIL-aligned operational processes.
• Automate routine tasks and troubleshooting procedures using scripting (Python preferred).
• Ensure compliance with global IT security standards and best practices.
 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Network Security or a related field.
• Strong background in advanced troubleshooting of network and security systems.
• Expertise in at least one of the following technology areas:
- Next Generation Firewalls (Fortinet)
- ADC/Load Balancers/GTM (F5 BIG-IP)
- DNS/DHCP/IPAM (IP Control)
- Secure Remote Access (Zscaler, Cisco)
- VPN Technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet)
- Intrusion Prevention Systems (Cisco)
- Microsegmentation (Guardicore)
• Excellent understanding of standard application protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, etc.).
• Knowledge of automation and scripting, particularly with Python.
• Networking/Security experience equivalent to CCNP level.
• Solid understanding of the Linux operating system.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and related networking protocols.
• Proven ability to work independently under pressure and manage high workloads.
• Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Process-oriented mindset with familiarity with ITIL best practices.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
