We are seeking an experienced OpenText SMAX Specialist to take over the management and further development of our SMAX-based service management platform. The goal is to build internal expertise and gradually transition operations in-house.
You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, usability, and continuous improvement of the SMAX platform, working closely with internal stakeholders and possibly helping to shape a small dedicated team in the future.
Location: Prague, Czech Republic (2 days onsite per week)
Languages Required: Czech (mandatory), English (intermediate or better)
Start Date: ASAP
Engagement Type: Full-time (long term contract)
Key Responsibilities
• Take over daily operations, maintenance, and support of the OpenText SMAX platform
• Manage configurations, workflows, service catalog items, and business rules
• Handle incident, change, and problem management within the SMAX environment
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement enhancements and new functionalities
• Ensure system performance, compliance, and data integrity
Requirements
• Solid hands-on experience with OpenText SMAX (Service Management Automation X)
• Understanding of ITSM/ESM processes (e.g., based on ITIL)
• Ability to configure and maintain SMAX modules
• Experience with business rules, workflows, and automation within SMAX
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Fluency in Czech (required), English at least intermediate level
Nice to Have
• Experience with data integrations and APIs (REST/SOAP)
• Background in enterprise IT environments, ideally in banking or finance
• Familiarity with deployment pipelines and SMAX upgrades
